Kiersten's Biography

Kiersten's Biography
It was a long and tortuous road that brought Kiersten to the world of vascular ultrasound.  This is a second career for her as she spent more than a decade working as a veterinary assistant in small animal practices. The first ultrasound she ever saw was on a yellow lab with splenomegaly, and she was blown away by the ability to see into a patient without opening them up.  This fascination with imaging as well as a love of mystery solving (thank you Scooby Doo) led her to the world of ultrasound. As soon as she discovered the language of the doppler waveform, it was love at first augment.   Kiersten graduated from Bellevue College in 2016 with an associate's degree in ultrasound.  She started her ultrasound career at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, Washington then moved to the south Puget Sound to join the fabulous team at Pulse Heart Institute where she has been ever since.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two boys, three cats and a very large dog.
