Dr. Kirk Beach is Looking for your help...
Dr. Kirk Beach of the University of Washington Ultrasound Research Center is asking for your help with recruiting patients for the Atherosclerotic Plaque Neovascular Inflation trial.
The goal of this study is to measure the volume of arterioles and venules in atherosclerotic plaques in order to identify “vulnerable plaque”.
• All patients who are scheduled for clinical carotid artery or lower extremity arterial duplex exams are eligible.
• Exam consists of non clinical, ultrasound exam to measure:
o 3-D images of vessels.
o Vector Doppler of blood flow.
o Plaque strain.
• Participants will remain anonymous.
• Click HERE to download the PDF of trial consent form for more information.
Volunteers will not be charged or paid for their participation.
Dr. Beach will present trial results at future NWVT conference.
Please contact us regarding any questions or to schedule an appointment and transportation.
