Transcranial Doppler & Imaging Course - September 15-17, 2010
PVICME and Swedish Neuroscience Institute are collaborating once again to produce a course which utilizes the educational expertise and resources unique to each organization. The result is a faculty with diverse interests and areas of specialization, a curriculum that is comprehensive and in-depth, and hands-on sessions that utilize actual patient models with pathology specific to attendees’ needs and interests.
As an added bonus, the three-day course will be presented at Seattle University’s Clinical Performance Lab, a state-of-the-art educational facility conveniently located on Swedish/Cherry Hill Hospital campus.
This course is designed for physicians, sonographers, technologists and other healthcare professionals seeking to acquire the specific skill sets and knowledge base required to perform and interpret transcranial Doppler (TCD) studies. In the course, attendees will learn the basic skills for performance and interpreting TCD, transcranial imaging (TCI) and monitoring studies through didactic lectures and guided hands-on sessions with faculty. Interactive case studies will serve as a basis for development of interpretation skills.

VASCULAR ULTRASONOGRAPHER NEEDED FOR STATE-OF-THE-ART VEIN CENTER IN WASHINGTON
This private radiology practice is seeking an outstanding Vascular Ultrasonographer to work in their vein center due to growth in their business.
RESPONSIBLITIES The ideal candidate must have both an RVT and RDMS certification. In addition to vascular cases such as DVT’s, Carotids, AAA studies and vein mapping, candidates will also be scanning abdominal, OB and small parts. This position is in an outpatient center so there is no call and no nights, however as the group is trying to expand their services, there will be an occasional Saturday. All equipment is Siemens with the latest software. This is a top-tier vein center and the ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service and the ability to work quickly and efficiently while providing the ultimate in patient care.

Onsite registration will be available, at the rate of $150 for practicing physicians, and $75 for non-physicians. Residents and Fellows will remain free.
Course Objective: The intent of this conference is to expand the current knowledge of physicians, nurses and technicians relating to the practice of endovascular surgery. Didactic sessions are included with faculty discussion, debates and interaction. Discussions will focus on state-of-the-art practice with the evolution of equipment, techniques and practice based on outcomes.
